Case Study: Seaside Cabanas

Located on the remote island of Caye Caulker off the coast of the Central American nation of Belize, Seaside Cabanas is a independently owned, non-franchise hotel mere steps from the Caribbean Sea. With a brilliant color palette provided by the mix of Belizean and Mexican architecture, exterior walls are a signature tangerine-and-lemon yellow and cabanas are topped with traditional thatch roofs.

After completing a new, two-story suite in late 2011, the owner and management of Seaside Cabanas needed architectural photography for commercial use on the Seaside Cabanas web site, social media, and in print materials such as brochures and travel magazines. Focal Flame photographer Clint Thayer captured images of the strikingly designed suite, highlighting both the creative architectural approaches and the fine attention to craftsmanship evident in the interior. He also worked with models to create commercial photographs that would allow prospective tourists to imagine themselves in this beautiful island paradise.
